San Diego Hotels Offer Discounted Rates for Wildfire Evacuees

The San Diego Tourism Authority (SDTA) and San Diego County Lodging Association (SDCLA) have extended their heartfelt support to the communities in Los Angeles County impacted by the devasting wildfires.

In a collective effort to provide relief, several San Diego hotels are offering discounted rates and special pricing for evacuees and others affected by the ongoing fires in Los Angeles and surrounding areas. Visit sandiego.org/LArelief for a list of participating hotels and details on how to book discounted stays. The website will be updated regularly with new offers and participating hotels as they become available.  
 
Participating hotels in this relief effort include:

  • Evans Hotels is providing the following offers to evacuees and others affected by the L.A. fires, through use of the promo code LASTRONG:
    • Bahia Resort Hotel and Catamaran Resort Hotel & Spa: 25 percent off standard rooms, 40 percent off studios/suites, plus waived resort fee, parking and pet fees. Book dates: Now through January 31. Stay dates: Now through January 31. (Catamaran blackout dates are January 27-28, as the hotel is sold out.)
    • The Lodge at Torrey Pines: Waived resort fee, parking and pet fees. Book dates: Now through January 31. Stay dates: Now through January 31. (Blackout dates are January 21-22 and January 29, as The Lodge is sold out.)
  • Intercontinental San Diego is offering a $289 rate with a waived amenity fee for L.A. evacuees from now through January 20.  (The hotel is sold out January 21-23.) 
  • Omni San Diego in Downtown's Gaslamp Quarter is offering its Corporate Code, 45271246919, for a $199 rate now until January 24.
  • Town & Country Resort  in Mission Valley is offering a rate of $129 per night with a waived resort fee and free parking for those affected by the fires.
  • La Jolla Shores Hotel and the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club are each offering a discount of 50 percent to wildfire evacuees.
  • Rancho Bernardo Inn is offering a $199 rate + $40 resort fee to those impacted by the fires in Los Angeles.
  • San Diego Mission Bay Resort is providing 15 percent off the best flexible rate as well as waived daily self-parking and a waived daily resort fee. The offer may be booked from now through January 31 and can be extended if needed. The promo code is WILDFIRERELIEF
  • The Embassy Suites by Hilton San Diego La Jolla is offering a $199 rate to fire evacuees. 
  • Humphreys Half Moon Inn on Shelter Island is offering rates from $99 through January 31 for fire evacuees and others affected, as well as a complimentary resort fee and overnight parking. 
  • Mission Valley's  Handlery Hotel is providing 20 percent off the best available rate, plus 20 percent off food and beverage, a waived pet fee and waived fee for third/fourth adults, for those affected by the fires. The offer is valid through January 31 and may be extended based on fire conditions in L.A. Book by phone only at (800) 676-6567, and reference the code FIRERELI.
  • The Wayfarer San Diego in Pacific Beach has created a special link offering up to 30 percent off for those displaced or affected by the fires. Use the rate code EVACUEE. The offer is available through January 31 for stay dates through February 13.
  • The La Jolla Cove Hotel is offering those affected by the fires a discount of 30 percent for weekdays and 25 percent for Friday and Saturday, available from now until January 31. The stay dates will range from today until February 13. Guests can make reservations at the hotel's site by using promo code EVACUEE. 
  • The Best Western San Diego Zoo/SeaWorld Inn & Suites is offering a $99 (exclusive of tax) rate for wildfire evacuees. The rate includes a complimentary hot buffet breakfast and complimentary self-parking. The offer is valid for room types King Bed Guest Room (max occupancy 2), Two Queen Beds Guest Room (max occupancy 4), and Two Queen Bedrooms and Sofa Bed (max occupancy 6). Unfortunately the hotel cannot accept pets. The booking code is WILDFIRE.
  • TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Vista is offering a 15 percent discount for those affected by the fires, through January 15. The hotel is pet-friendly and has discounted its pet fee by 50 percent to $50 per stay. Call the hotel directly at (760) 216-6010 and mention "L.A. Wildfires."
  • The Lakehouse Resort in San Marcos is offering a fire evacuation rate to support the Los Angeles community. The offer includes discounted room rates to ease the financial burden, waived resort fees and waived pet fees to ensure families can stay together with their pets. Anyone affected can use this link to apply the evacuation rate to a booking.
  • The Park Hyatt Aviara Resort in Carlsbad has implemented a special rate for fire evacuees and those displaced by the fires. The hotel is offering up to 50 percent off, depending on occupancy; the offer runs through February for those who might be displaced longer. Call (844) 478-6557 and ask for the Aviara Good Neighbor rate.
  • The Cape Rey Carlsbad Beach and the Hilton Garden Inn Carlsbad Beach hotels are offering neighborhood rates of 15 percent off the best available rate for those with a valid ID showing a zip code in Los Angeles, Ventura or Orange counties. At the Cape Rey, a Hilton Resort and Spa, the booking deadline and last stay date is January 30. For the Hilton Garden Inn Carlsbad Beach, bookings must occur by January 25 for a last stay date of January 26.
