Culinary Experiences Onboard Celebrity Ascent Unveiled

Celebrity Cruises has unveiled details of the culinary and beverage program planned for its new ship, Celebrity Ascent. The fourth vessel in the line’s Edge Series will host redesigned restaurants, a new dinner experience, expanded food and cocktail menus, a new whiskey tasting experience, and a plant-based multi-course dinner.

Chef Daniel Boulud, Celebrity’s global culinary ambassador, will bring his restaurant concept at sea to Celebrity Ascent. The second installment of the fine-dining venue, Le Voyage will offer a global menu comprising dishes from Chef Boulud's personal travels and favorite places around the world. Groups can reserve the Chef’s Table, a private, six-seat dining room where they can enjoy a multi-course tasting dinner accompanied by wine pairings. Diners will be treated to Chef Boulud’s signature homemade madeleines at the end of each meal.

Additionally, Eden, a venue onboard Edge Series ships, spans three levels completely wrapped in floor-to-ceiling windows. The multi-use venue offers a lunch café, cocktail bar, an entertainment space, outdoor terrace and a signature restaurant. At Eden's signature restaurant, guests have the opportunity to experience global cuisine through a new seven-course plant-based tasting menu. Highlights include dishes such as the Golden Beet-Tomato Ceviche, Ajoblanco Panna Cotta, Roasted and Glazed Celeriac Steak, and Dry Rose Petals Masala Curry. Diners can also opt for organic and vegan wine pairings.

Onboard Ascent, travelers can continue to enjoy the option for New American cuisine at Cosmopolitan restaurant; Mediterranean at Cyprus; French contemporary at Normandie; and Italian at Tuscan. Combined, the four main restaurants offer travelers over 84 dishes to choose from. Guests of Cosmopolitan, however, will notice its new design and layout.

Additionally, the Le Petit Chef dinner experience—a multi-course menu brought to life by animations of a tiny chef who tells the story behind each dish—will still be available. Each course’s animation ends with a digital version of the dish, followed by the real-life dish placed in front of the diner. Exclusively available on Ascent, guests will experience a four-course, fairytale-style dining show.

The Fine Cut Steakhouse will now offer a new dish—the Lemon Poached Lobster Tail with melted leeks, shiitake mushrooms, lobster ravioli and a house-made beurre blanc sauce. Additionally, guests of the wellness-minded Aqua Class will have the opportunity to dine al fresco for breakfast or dinner in Blu’s new outdoor terrace space.

The line’s extensive spirits tasting program includes partnerships with Jack Daniel’s and Macallan. For Ascent, the brand will also have a new partnership with WhistlePig Whiskey. Available at Craft Social, guests can enjoy a Special Bespoke Barrel and Special Single Barrel, either as a la carte options or as part of a tasting flight that also features WhistlePig PiggyBack 100 Proof Bourbon, WhistlePig 10 and WhistlePig 12.

Each Edge Series ship also houses The Grand Plaza with its signature wrap-around Martini Bar as the main focal point. Each night, guests can enjoy the “Flair Bartender Shows.” The Martini Bar on Ascent will offer an expanded menu of classic martinis, fruit-infused creations and desert martinis.

Celebrity Ascent will debut this November as it sets sail from Fort Lauderdale’s Port Everglades for its inaugural Caribbean season. Travelers can opt for the “Taste of Luxury” preview sailings, including a four-night Western Caribbean voyage on November 22, or a three-night Bahamas getaway on November 26; or the seven-night “Eastern Caribbean Maiden Voyage” on December 3, 2023.
