Dream Vacations, CruiseOne Report Record Land Sales

Dream Vacations and CruiseOne have announced they are doubling down on its commitment to enhance land vacation resources for its network of franchise owners and associates.

With land sales up more than 100 percent compared to 2019 and 26 percent compared to 2022, the franchise network is positioning itself to continue the upward momentum in land sales while remaining a powerhouse in cruise sales. Dream Vacations and CruiseOne say they view land vacations as an avenue to increase their cruise customer base by leveraging these as an entry point to introduce customers to the value and convenience of cruising.

“Cruises are still very much core to what we sell as a network,” said Drew Daly, senior vice president and general manager of Dream Vacations and CruiseOne. “We have heard from the cruise lines that generating new-to-cruise customers is essential for the business. We believe that this strategy will strengthen our ability to source new-to-cruise customers by expanding our customer base through land-based vacations initially.”

In line with this approach, Dream Vacations and CruiseOne has announced the appointment of Sean Tolkin as vice president of land strategy and network performance. Tolkin brings more than a decade of experience in the travel industry, where he will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive land strategy for the companies’ network of travel advisors. His appointment demonstrates the importance Dream Vacations and CruiseOne place on their land business and their commitment to providing their travel advisors with the resources and support they need to succeed.

“Our sustained land growth is proof of concept for launching Dream Vacations seven years ago, a brand that doesn’t just speak to cruise, but resonates with potential land vacation clients as well,” said Tolkin. “I’m thrilled to be in a position where I can interact and listen to our franchise owners and associates about how we can further strengthen their land knowledge, supplier relationships, and marketing.”

The network is already benefiting from enhanced partnerships, a commitment to greater promotions and incentives as well as more learning and FAM opportunities associated with land-based vacations. Some newer areas of growth include an expanded focus on luxury, technology and land-focused engagement events.

Dream Vacations and CruiseOne franchise owners and associates will be able to engage directly with land suppliers during the Dream Vacations and CruiseOne 2023 Land Summit at Secrets/Dreams Playa Mujeres on September 10-14.
