Lindblad Expeditions to Require COVID-19 Booster Shots

Lindblad Expeditions has announced that effective March 1, 2022, all guests 12 years of age and over who completed their primary vaccination series more than five months ago, will be required to present proof of booster prior to embarkation.

Lindblad Expeditions accepts any Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-recommended vaccine: Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson (Janssen). Boosters can be received any time prior to embarkation. Note: For non-U.S. guests, the line will also accept the AstraZeneca booster. Guests with another World Health Organization (WHO)-recommended vaccine should check with their Expedition Specialist when making their reservation.

Lindblad says its dedicated COVID-19 Global Policy Team meets daily to keep their fingers on the pulse of what’s happening globally, and as the latest research and public health recommendations evolve, so do their policies. They continue to update their protocols in accordance with local, state, federal, and international regulations and guidelines in the places their ships explore.

Beyond the vaccination and booster requirement, guests must also complete a PCR test taken no less than three days and no more than five days prior to departure (although some destinations may require testing outside of this window). Your negative test results must be submitted no later than 24 hours prior to departing for your expedition. Guests must also complete health questionnaires, undergo a temperature and symptom check at embarkation and wear face coverings while on board.
