MSC Announces Second World Cruise in 2020

MSC Cruises has announced that its second world cruise, set to sail in 2020, in now available for bookings for MSC Voyagers Club members. Other passengers can book the cruise starting November 23. The cruise will sail on the line's MSC Magnifica. 

The 2020 MSC World Cruise offers a new itinerary with plenty of exotic and bucket-list destinations, with more than 40 ports of call and 23 countries. There are four different embarkation ports and dates to kick off the three-month voyage, allowing travelers to select their ideal starting point for a more customized vacation. Embarkation points are Civitavecchia/Rome, Genoa, Marseille and Barcelona on Jaunary 4, 5, 6 and 7, 2020, respectively.

Guests will travel through five continents on the three-month journey. There are eight destinations with overnight stays in port to give guests up to two days to explore the city. 

The 2020 MSC World Cruise will visit 43 destinations in total, many of which are new. Highlighted ports include Ushuaia, Argentina; Rapa Nui / Easter Island; Darwin, Australia; Valparaiso, Chile; Mumbai/Bombay, India; and Salalah, Oman.

Included in the fare are 15 shore excursions. Some of which include: 

  • Isle of Pines, New Caledonia – Travelers will swim up-close to sea turtles and other marine life like stingrays, manta rays, sharks and dolphins.
  • Aqaba, Petra – Located in the middle of the Jordanian desert, guest will explore the ancient city of Petra including the famous rose-red rock carved temple.
  • Kelang, Kuala Lumpur - travelers can head to the top of one of the world’s most famous (and tallest) skyscrapers - the Kuala Lumpur Tower. From the top, guests can take in the city views from above. 

Guests who book the World cruise will receive a complimentary Mealtime Restaurant Drinks Package, which includes unlimited wine, mineral water, draft beer, sodas and fruit juices during lunch and dinner in the main dining room and buffet, 30% off laundry services, the chance to see more than 90 shows on board including 30 Broadway-style show as well as acts inspired by the itinerary, and an activity schedule theme evenings, language classes, cultural guest speakers and more.
