Oceania Cruises Set to Revamp Two More Ships

Oceania Cruises has announced details of its "OceaniaNEXT" transformation experience with stem-to-stern re-inspiration of the 1,210-guest ships Riviera and Marina. With this, the culinary- and destination-focused cruise line will, for the first time, field a full fleet of new or "better-than-new" ships.

Debuting in December 2022 and November 2023, respectively, Riviera and Marina will sport updated suites and staterooms as well as a new color palette in public spaces, fresh fabrics, furnishings and lighting fixtures. The suites and staterooms will have new furnishings, restyled bathrooms and an abundance of outlets and USB ports always within reach.

The Grand Bar restyle will include butter-soft leather armchairs in The Grand Dining Room, besides chandeliers and plush carpets. More dining options too, are on the cards. In addition to the refreshed Terrace Café, Waves Grill and Polo Grill, a trattoria will have a range of wood-fired pizzas, salads and desserts.

Riviera will debut on December 7, 2022, on a 16-day Mediterranean, Atlantic and Caribbean cruise from Rome to Miami. From there, the ship will reprise its popular seven- to 14-day Caribbean sailings from Miami to the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central America for one final season before returning to Europe in late March 2023. Riviera will then chart an inaugural season of Far East explorations during later 2023 and early 2024.

Marina will debut on November 13, 2023, on a 7-day cruise from Barcelona to Lisbon. From Lisbon, the ship will sail to Miami, where it will kick off its annual South America season on December 3, 2023.

Details on the 2024 itineraries for the entire Oceania Cruises fleet will be released in the coming weeks.
