Regent Seven Seas Cruises just announced a big new wellness program in partnership with Canyon Ranch, dubbed Seven Seas Wellness.
The new program will debut this summer on Mediterranean sailings of Seven Seas Voyager and will pair a new collection of wellness-themed excursions with a selection of signature Canyon Ranch SpaClub services. Putting together the new excursions and treatments will allow guests to create their own individualized wellness program, the cruise line said.
Guests will be able to select a wellness-themed excursion from a collection of more than 10 options in the Mediterranean, plus one of five included, 50-minute Canyon Ranch spa services: World of Relief Body Buff, Tangle Me Up Wrap, Ocean Scrub, Sole Rejuvenation, and Vitamin Infusion Facial.
The move follows the introduction of a similar wellness program in partnership with Canyon Ranch by Oceania Cruises, Wellness Tours Inspired by Canyon Ranch. As with this new program, Oceania’s Wellness Tours Inspired by Canyon Ranch pairs wellness-inspired land tours with onboard spa offerings from the ship’s Canyon Ranch SpaClub. Both Oceania and Regent are owned by the same parent company, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.
Highlights of the new shore experiences from Regent include:
- Marseilles, France – A special Tai Chi class in the garden courtyard of the Pharo Palace, a 19th century palace built on a promontory overlooking the Mediterranean.
- Sorrento, Italy – Guests can immerse themselves in the restorative hydrothermal pools of the Stufe di Nerone Baths and tour the famous burning Phlegreaen Fields, a large caldera known for its volcanic activities. The wellness traditions explored on this excursion are said to date back to the Roman Empire.
- Venice, Italy – Guests can visit the new attraction dedicated to the Venetian tradition of perfume at the Museum of Palazzo Mocenigo. There, they explore how fragrance can help affect emotion and have the opportunity to create their own personal perfume to take home.
- Athens, Greece – Guests can swim, snorkel, or simply float in the brackish hydrothermal, mineral waters of Vouliagmeni Lake. Guests then continue onto a secluded spot on Faskomilia Hill overlooking the lake for a yoga session.
Onboard, the cruise line will also expand the breakfast bar at the Pool Grill with a new lineup of healthy options ranging from low-fat yogurt and muesli to a selection of nuts, sliced fruit and fruit smoothies.
The new Seven Seas Wellness program on Seven Seas Voyager will be available on seven- to 10-night Mediterranean itineraries from late May through September 2017, except aboard the July 25, 2017, voyage. There is a supplemental charge of $299 per guest per port experience and spa service pairing. Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ new Seven Seas Wellness program will be available for reservations in April 2017.
In addition to the expanded cruise partnerships, other big changes have been taking place at Canyon Ranch recently.
Melvin and Enid Zuckerman, founders of the famous spa and wellness brand Canyon Ranch, recently announced their retirement after nearly 40 years along with Jerrold Cohen. The three launched the brand with its flagship property Canyon Ranch in Tuscon in 1979.
