Industry veteran Shary Dyer is joining the Scenic family of brands - comprised of Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours and Emerald Waterways - as the vice president of business development and strategic partnerships.
Dyer comes to Scenic with almost 30 years of travel industry experience, beginning with Carlson Wagonlit Travel and most recently as VP strategic partnerships and agency acquisitions for Travel Leaders Group, where she added $1.3 billion to TLG divisions during her five-year tenure, Scenic said. Other past positions include VP national sales for Signature and sales and business development executive with American Express.
Scenic offers river cruises on the Rhine, Main, Danube, Seine, Volga, Mekong and Irrawaddy rivers with all-inclusive amenities, including private butlers for every guests, complimentary drinks, free e-bikes, all tips and gratuities, and all transfers to and from the ship. The cruise line currently sails with a fleet of 15 Space Ships, and is expecting a new addition in 2018: the Scenic Eclipse.
The Scenic Eclipse, billed as the 'World's First Discovery Yacht," will be Scenic's first ocean cruise ship. The Eclipse is set to embark on its inaugural voyage on August 31, 2018, and will call in several destinations throughout its first season, including: the Americas; Antarctica; Europe and the Mediterranean; and the Arctic. The yacht will accommodate 228 guests in spacious suites with state-of-the-art amenities, including a hypoallergenic air purification system, HDTV and Bose sound system, personalized butler bar and butler service.
