Uniworld Announces “Rivers of the World” Cruise For 2024

Uniworld Boutique River Cruises has launched its second annual “Rivers of the World” itinerary for 2024. The 55-day sailing departs October 3, 2024, from Lima, and will take 68 guests on a journey spanning three continents and 10 countries.

The trip begins in the Peruvian Amazon with a celebratory beach kick-off party and land stay at the Country Club Lima Hotel, followed by a week-long cruise aboard one of the two river ships, the Aria Amazon or Aqua Nera. Guests will continue with a land stay at the Tambo del Inka Hotel in the Sacred Valley visiting Cusco and Machu Picchu. Later, two hotel stays exclusive to the itinerary will complete the South America trip portion: First at Belmond Hotel das Cataratas to visit Iguazu Falls from both the Argentinian and Brazilian sides; and a night at the Belmond Copacabana Palace in Rio de Janeiro. Continuing the itinerary, the group will fly to Amsterdam to cruise the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers onboard the S.S. Beatrice. There, they will travel through four countries over 16 days, getting a taste for the varied delights of Central Europe along the way, including a private Mozart and Strauss concert in Austria. Next, they will head to France and board the S.S. Catherine for seven nights, savoring the cuisines and wines throughout Burgundy and Provence, along with an immersive art and music experience at Carrières des Lumières.

To cap off the action-packed expedition, guests will be off to Hanoi in Southeast Asia, staying at the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi. There, the adventures will commence with an overnight cruise in Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to see some of the 1,600 islands and limestone pillars. Guests will have exclusive access to Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom in Siem Reap, and will be treated to a candlelight dinner at the Kravan Temple built in the 10th century during the reign of Harshavarman before embarking on Uniworld’s Super Ship, the Mekong Jewel, to experience the splendor of the Mekong River. The fourth and final cruise will disembark in My Tho, where guests will then transfer to The Park Hyatt Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City for their final land stay and gala dinner event at the rooftop Chill Skybar with views of the Saigon skyline.

The “Rivers of the World” itinerary is all-inclusive with onboard dining, unlimited beverages, Wi-Fi, excursions, airport transfers, onboard gratuities and flights between cruise segments. The voyage also features a dedicated traveling concierge for the entire journey to assist with travelers’ needs. Guests will set sail aboard four of Uniworld’s Super Ships, each a distinctive floating boutique hotel designed to reflect the destinations in which they sail.
