Virgin Voyages Enhances Group Booking Options

Virgin Voyages has enhanced its group program, now called “Circles, Groups and Weddings,” making it easier for cruisers and travel advisors to book group trips. Ahead of the launch of Brilliant Lady and new itineraries, the program offers greater flexibility, more benefits and improved offers based on advisors’ feedback. Additionally, "Sailors" (guests) will receive a variety of benefits when booking together through their "First Mate" (travel advisor) including up to a 10 percent travel discount, up to $300 in free drinks and a group dinner at one of Virgin’s six restaurants.

  • More time to form a group
  • Price and promotion protection
  • One complimentary Sea Terrace for the travel conductor once a 10-cabin threshold is met, or the option of a 2 percent bonus commission

The “Groups” option is designed for advisors who already have groups that are ready to lock in their cruise. Featuires include:

  • Eight-cabin minimum
  • No deposit required
  • 30-day hold
  • Onboard Bar Tab options
  • Price and promotion protection

Nirmal Saverimuttu, CEO of Virgin Voyages, said the line is "having a record Wave Season, with a more than 60 percent increase in revenue from February of last year, and a more than 80 percent increase coming specifically from our dedicated travel partners."

Pretty cool: For the first time ever, all four of Virgin Voyages’ ships will be sailing in the Caribbean later this year. Ports of call across the region include Grand Cayman, St. Maarten and Curaçao, alongside shore excursions in Jamaica and Dominica.
