Celebrate Halloween in Hawaii at The Shops at Wailea

The Shops at Wailea on Maui has announced that its Keiki Halloween at The Shops will take place on Sunday, October 29 from 3 – 6 p.m. The event includes a keiki (children) and pet costume contest, prizes and a special trick-or-treat.

“We created this free event for the entire ohana (family) to enjoy Halloween festivities,” said Brian Yano, general manager of The Shops at Wailea, in a written release. "This fun event welcomes grandparents, parents, children and even pets to participate in a costume contest and trick-or-treat in style.”

Families and their children are invited to The Shops beginning at 3 p.m. for costume contest registration. The contest begins at 4pm and judges will award the winners at 5:30pm with prizes. Contest categories include:

Keiki, Ages 0-2 Years
Keiki, Ages 3-5 Years
Keiki, Ages 6-10 Years
Ohana (Family)
Pets

After the contest, families and children are invited to stroll The Shops for a special trick-or-treat in their costumes.

In a continued effort to give back to the community, The Shops at Wailea supports a different Maui nonprofit each month with sixty percent of the special event parking fees going back to the nonprofit.

A portion of the parking proceeds from Keiki Halloween will benefit Women Helping Women, a local Maui non-profit dedicated to ending domestic violence. The four-hour special event parking voucher is available for $5 and can be purchased at the non-profit’s parking table.

The Shops at Wailea is a shopping and dining destination on Maui with more than 70 boutiques, shops, restaurants and galleries. It is located in the heart of Wailea Resort.
