Now Open: Nikki Beach Barbados

Nikki Beach Worldwide has formally opened its newest location, a beach property in Port Ferdinand, Barbados. Nikki Beach Barbados is the first luxury beach club property in Barbados, and sits on 1.4 acres of beachfront, offering views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Nikki Beach Barbados soft-opened with a sold-out New Year’s Eve celebration. The evening featured an array of local entertainers, including stilted dancers, jugglers, ballerinas, mermaids, acrobats and percussionists.

“Barbados is a magical destination that has quickly become one of my favorites, and I am delighted to open our first Nikki Beach property on the island,” said Jack Penrod, founder and owner of Nikki Beach Worldwide, in a written release. “Following our sold-out New Year’s Eve celebration, we have seen a great response from our guests, and we look forward to quickly becoming an integral part of the Barbadian experience.”

The designs highlight stone elements sourced from the region, as well as Caribbean features selected by developer, the Jada Group. This beach club location includes a restaurant, pool and beach access with oceanfront seating for up to 200 guests. In case of inclement weather, the dining space is covered with a waterproof awning.

The pool has an octagon wet bar where guests can swim up to enjoy Nikki Beach’s signature cocktail selection. Four oversized luxury pool beds also line the dock, allowing guests to relax with Caribbean waves crashing around them.

All white sun beds and VIP cabanas anchor the space where guests can indulge with Champagne, refreshing cocktails and food with locally sourced ingredients. Nikki Beach brings its sought-after musical culture to the island with resident DJs and musicians, featuring dance, lounge and signature Nikki Beach beats. There is also an in-house saxophonist, percussionist and violinist, among other musicians.

A runway feature is present poolside for Nikki Beach’s fashion shows and quarterly “What Women Want” events. Various amenities featured on property include a Nikki Beach Lifestyle Boutique, which carries branded polo shirts and t-shirts, luxury designer clothing and swimwear for men and women, as well as towels, hats, beach bags, accessories and music. Showers and changing rooms are on property.

While roughly 60 percent of the menu features Nikki Beach’s signature dishes, 40 percent has been developed by the property’s Chef de Cuisine, incorporating local flavors and ingredients. Sharable seafood platters, impressive Nikki Beach sushi boats, organic chicken, rotisserie pork and ceviche are made with a Caribbean flair.

To take advantage of the views, sunset cocktails and aperitif style service are offered from 5 and 6 p.m. at the octagon bar. With every cocktail ordered, guests are served bites from the menu. The signature Nikki Beach Mojito uses local Caribbean rum, and promises to become a favorite libation.

Concierge, valet service and ample parking (both on and off property) are available to guests. Yachts can dock directly at the location, and water shuttle service is offered as well. A pick-up and drop-off service is available for VIP clients who come to the venue before midday.

Nikki Beach Barbados is open daily for lunch from noon to 7 p.m., and dinner is served Thursday to Saturday from 7 p.m. to midnight.
