Ocean Club Resorts Announces New Voluntourism Initiatives

Ocean Club Resorts in Turks & Caicos has announced new initiatives that would give conscious travelers an opportunity to travel with a purpose. For years, the sister properties—Ocean Club and Ocean Club West—on the world-famous Grace Bay Beach have partnered with local charities and programs that speak to traveling with a purpose.

The two all-suite and open-air resorts are well-suited for travelers looking to leave a positive impact on the communities they visit. A few of the current initiatives summer travelers can help to support include:

  • Pack for a Purpose: Ocean Club Resorts partners with "Pack for a Purpose," an initiative allowing travelers to enrich the lives of local students by donating school supplies. Travelers can save a little space in their luggage to make a big impact on developing lives. The resorts hand-deliver supplies and team members work to offer mentorship to local students.
  • Race to the Conch: This non-profit open-water swimming initiative allows travelers to get active and immersed in the waters of the islands for charity. Swimmers can save 15 percent off accommodations at Ocean Clubs Resorts with promo code RACE2023. Proceeds support a local home, local learn-to-swim programs, and initiatives to help special needs children in the outer islands.
  • Potcake Place: This non-profit is ideal for guests looking to give back on island by caring for and socializing with rescued dogs. Travelers can support by donating their time at the shelter to feed, bathe, walk, and play with furry friends.

Knowing their travel experience is working towards the good of the community’s future, guests can refuel at one of the resorts’ three signature dining outlets or unwind at its Spa Tropique. Active travelers can get immersed with amenities like sailing, snorkeling, diving, fishing, parasailing or golfing beneath the palm trees with Caribbean salt in the air. They could also choose to just relax under one of Ocean Club Resorts’ signature pink beach umbrellas.
