What to Do Over Valentine's Day in Las Vegas

Valentine’s Day is almost upon us – if you’re planning a romantic getaway to Las Vegas over the next week, here are the top events, concerts and packages to keep in mind.

Events

BAZ – A Musical Mash-Up

This romantic show at the Palazzo Theatre in the Palazzo Las Vegas is a combination of dance, musical performances, and moments from famous love stories imagined by director Baz Luhrmann. The show is inspired by the most romantic movies in Luhrmann’s filmography, including Romeo + Juliet, Moulin Rouge, and The Great Gatsby. The show will include movie numbers, modern songs, dance routines, and more performed by an ensemble cast of vocalists, actors, and dancers. BAZ – A Musical Mash-Up plays Tuesday – Sunday at 7 p.m.

Beauty and the Beast

Watch a live rendition of this classic love story at the Smith Center for the Performing Arts in Downtown Las Vegas. Set to a lyrical score by famous Russian composer Tchaikovsky, this Nevada Ballet Theatre Company (NBT) production will bring the memorable moments and set pieces from the story on to the stage on February 17 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and on February 18 at 2 p.m.

Prior to all performances, NBT will present Insights, an educational pre-performance discussion offering the audience an opportunity to further engage with the ballet with special guests, multimedia presentations and more. Insights is free to all ticket holders and will take place in the Troesh Studio Theater, adjacent to Reynolds Hall, 45 minutes prior to curtain at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, 6:45 p.m. on Saturday, and 1:15 p.m. on Sunday.

Marriage Can Be Murder

This two-hour event is an interactive comedy and murder mystery dinner show where the actors are planted among the guests and the audience helps solve the crime. During the show, guests are treated to a three-course meal as they work to figure out the mystery. Marriage Can Be Murder will play in the newly renovated Showroom at the D Las Vegas on February 9-18 at 6:30 p.m., with a special 7:30 show on Valentine’s Day.

Spa Treatments

Las Vegas has no shortage of extravagant spa treatments for couples to take advantage of. Resort spas all over the strip offer special couples massages, facial treatments, and more. The Qua Baths & Spa in Caesars Palace has a Couple’s Stone Massage that incorporates in-house blended aromatherapy and basalt volcanic rocks. Miniature basalt stones are placed between guests’ toes, while arctic pebbles relax the face for a head-to-toe experience.

Or, couples can create their own treatment for two with the Qua Signature Hourglass Couples treatment. Guests can select their own combination of facials, body treatments, hot stones, and aromatherapy.

At the Spa at Encore in the Wynn Las Vegas, couples can choose from several massages and rituals. The Couple’s Good Luck Ritual in the Couple’s Suite includes a custom massage and body treatment combined with a peppermint foot treatment, moisturizing hand therapy, and a botanical scalp massage. Couples can extend their time in the Couple’s Suite for an additional 30 minutes with an aromatic couple’s bath as well.

Meanwhile, the fully renovated spa at the Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas offers a simple “Time for Two” couple’s package that includes a couple’s massage and facial followed by a serving of chocolate covered strawberries and Champagne for two.
