Wheel the World Launches Accessible Group Tours

Wheel the World, an online travel booking platform for people with disabilities and seniors, has launched a preliminary roster of nine fully accessible, multi-day domestic and international group tours. The 2022 group tours offer conveniently packaged itineraries including accessible accommodations, activities, bathroom stops, ground transportation, in-destination trained guides and other necessary logistics for travelers with disabilities.

Travelers can choose from seven destinations: New York City, Costa Rica, Greece, Israel, Morocco and Switzerland. From Greek island-hopping and scenic train rides through alpine villages to a ladies-only getaway to Morocco, Wheel the World’s group tours offer travelers the chance to explore new destinations in a safe way, while accompanied by like-minded fellow travelers and accessibility-trained guides.

“My group trip experiences are among my favorite travels, as they combine the joy of experiencing a new place with community and camaraderie, elements that are much needed following the isolation of the pandemic,” Wheel the World co-founder and CEO Alvaro Silberstein said in a press release. “We will continue to collaborate with our colleagues in the travel industry to seek out and expand access to the best accessible travel opportunities around the globe.”

Wheel the World’s group tours offer a varying number of eight to 10 spots for manual and power wheelchair users depending on the destination. Planned, in-destination assistance allows travelers’ focus to remain on experiencing sights, sounds and culture throughout the trips.

With its presence in 50 destinations, Wheel the World offers places to stay, things to do, multi-day private trips and now, engaging group tours while providing detailed accessibility information with an aim to help travelers with disabilities in making informed decisions about when and where they can travel with ease.
