Sofitel to Open New Hotel "Steps" From Egypt's Pyramids

Accor has announced the signing of Sofitel Legend Pyramids Giza, a new luxury hotel in partnership with Abu Dhabi Tourism Investment Company (ADTIC). This property, set to open in late 2027, will be located near the Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, offering views of Egypt's most iconic landmarks and an immersion into the country’s ancient heritage.

There will be 303 rooms and suites, all combining ancient Egyptian influences with contemporary French touches. The hotel’s wellness facilities will include a high-end spa and fitness center, infinity pools and a collection of restaurants, including an all-day dining venue and three specialty dining options.

Strategically positioned just 500 meters from the Grand Egyptian Museum, Sofitel Legend Pyramids Giza will provide guests with easy access to one of the most anticipated cultural attractions in the world. Just finalized, the museum is set to house the world’s largest collection of Egyptian antiquities, including the complete collection of treasures from King Tutankhamun’s tomb. The Grand Egyptian Museum will not only showcase Egypt’s rich history but also contribute significantly to the region’s tourism.

The new Sofitel Legend Pyramids Giza will become the eighth hotel in the brand’s portfolio of luxury establishments. It will be the second Sofitel Legend in Egypt, joining Sofitel Legend Old Cataract in Aswan. The other hotels in the brand’s portfolio include Sofitel Legend Casco Viejo in Panama City, Panama; Sofitel Legend Santa Clara in Cartagena, Colombia; Sofitel Legend Metropole in Hanoi, Vietnam; Sofitel Legend People's Grand in Xi'an, China; and the newly announced Sofitel Legend The Mozart in Prague in Czech Republic scheduled to open in 2027.
