Bequia Beach Hotel Appoints Elisabeth Alleyne as GM

Bequia Beach Hotel has announced the appointment of Elisabeth Alleyne as general manager. This is the first time the ownership has appointed a general manager and marks a new chapter for this family-run Caribbean hotel.

With a career in hospitality that spans over 20 years, Alleyne has a wealth of experience within the luxury travel industry. Originally from Sweden, Alleyne fell in love with the Caribbean during a personal visit and relocated to Barbados in 2007. Over her career, Alleyne has managed teams in hotels across islands such as Barbados, Jamaica and Grenada. Most recently, Alleyne served as the general manager for O2 Beach Club and SPA in Barbados, where she was responsible for the resort’s opening.

Bequia Beach Hotel is owned by the Morstedt family. Bengt and Philip Morstedt will continue to be involved in the operations, development and management of the property. Alleyne joins at an exciting time for the hotel with the launch of its first ultra-luxe villa collection Grenadine Hills, the unveiling of a new swimming pool on Friendship Bay Beach and an array of new local experiences readily available for guests this season.

Commenting on her appointment, Alleyne said, “I am delighted to join the Bequia Beach Hotel team. The warmth, character and charm of the property is infectious. My goal is to ensure these feelings are protected and sustained for years to come, while continuing to elevate the already excellent service and guest facilities, such as the superyacht charter and spa. Bequia Beach Hotel and the Grenadines have so much to offer and I hope my genuine love for the destination and boutique hotel can shine through in all areas.”
