O2 Beach Club & Spa, an all-inclusive resort and the newest addition to Barbados’ family-owned Ocean Hotels Group, has hired Barbadian-born Christopher Eastmond as its general manager.
In this role, Eastmond will lead his teams in creating and delivering in all aspects of hospitality at the five-star property. According to Ocean Hotels Group, his inclusive management style with an emphasis on team coaching and mentoring will ensure the next generation of hospitality managers are able to lead with confidence and success in the luxury hospitality sector.
Eastmond has more than 20 years of experience, along with a proven success record in the boutique resort and luxury private residences niche in the Caribbean. He is focused on the implementation of operational plans to achieve financial integrity and sustainable profitability, paired with a strong, positive work culture. Most recently, Eastmond served as the general manager at Belle Mont Farm Resort at Kittitian Hill in St. Kitts. Previously, he held the role of general manager at Curtain Bluff and Grace Bay Resorts. He was also a member of the Sandy Lane, Carlisle Bay and Cobblers Cove pre-opening teams.

O2 Beach Club & Spa opened in November 2021. The property is home to five restaurants, six bars and a range of dining experiences. Guests can enjoy a spa treatment at the newly opened Acqua Spa. The hotel also offers a range of activities, including signature “how-to” classes, for guests to return from their travels with new skills and an authentic taste of local culture.
