Millennials looking for some rustic luxury in Central America might want to take a plunge in the chic lap pool at El Mangroove, Autograph Collection in Costa Rica.

The lap pool measures 130 feet and comes with five private cabanas, lounges, and a poolside concierge that can cater to just about any guest demand. It’s lined with black tile, which is pretty unique, and causes a beautiful reflection of the overarching trees and mangroves.

With views of the bay, it’s a great spot for catching those gorgeous Pacific coast sunsets, and often, guests can hear howler monkeys in the distance.

The pool can be rented out for events only in the evenings. Reservations should be made two weeks in advance, though the property is flexible on that. Reservations can be made via the resort’s event coordinator, William Gutierrez. He can be reached at [email protected].

The boutique hotel features a bohemian-inspired design with indigenous decor influences, 85 suites with nice, subtle touches like in-room hammocks and see-through showers lined with caña brava wood made from local sugarcane, an impressive spa with outdoor bungalows and two restaurants.

Millennials looking for some off-property adventures might like to know the hotel has two boats on site and offer tours ranging from a private beach hopping experience to glow-in-the dark Stand Up Paddleboards (SUP) that use LED lighting, snorkeling, sunset cruises, and off-site surfing in Guanacaste. El Mangroove, Autograph Collection is Costa Rica’s closest beachfront resort to an international airport, which is just 20 minutes from the Liberia International Airport.
