The Cool Pool of the Week: Ocean Club West in Turks and Caicos

Millennials looking for a stylish pool to take a plunge in during a Turks and Caicos getaway should check out Ocean Club West.

The free-form pool surrounded by small, replica islands offers views of the ocean and Grace Bay Beach, often considered the best beach in the Caribbean. The 5,000-foot pool flows throughout the center of the property and is also surrounded by white bridges.

Millennials have free use of the barbecue grill area and gazebos. While the pool area and barbecue grills are not usually available to be reserved in advance, the resort’s guest services team will coordinate with guests for special requests to have use of the area for special events and parties.

The Solana bar is only a few steps away from the pool. Travel Agent was told that one of the most popular cocktails served here The Caicos Passion, which includes coconut rum, Absolut Vodka, passion fruit, grapefruit juice and cranberry. Some popular snacks served here include fish tacos, cracked conch and conch salad with cranberry.

While the resort is upgraded annually during their month-long fall closure, the Solana restaurant and many suites were completely redone in 2017.

Ocean Club West is also located in close proximity to local shopping, restaurants, and island nightlife. The resort is roughly 20 minutes from Providenciales International Airport.
