Fairmont Announces Pup-Approved Packages

As pet travel remains a priority for many, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is continuing to ramp up amenities for guests and their canine companions with a variety of pup-approved packages and experiences across its properties. From tasty fido menus to indulgent s’paw amenities, Fairmont has rounded up some of the best pet-friendly hotel offers to book this International Dog Day and beyond.

As an added perk, the Fairmont Store recently expanded its specialty Pet Collection with several new retail items. Beyond the popular Fairmont by Roots line of dog collar and leashes, it now offers luxurious pet bedding including the sleek and stylish Movik Dog Bed designed with high sides for bigger pups and the Lukko Dog Bed for smaller furry friends. For pet owners passionate about traveling with Fido, there’s the indoor and outdoor Fosser Pet Mat which is easy to carry and perfect for patios as well as long car rides and the Asnen Pet Blanket, a stylish travel must-have to keep pets warm and protected.

Pamper Your Pup at The Plaza Hotel

The Plaza Hotel has been welcoming pampered pooches since 1907 and it welcomes canine guests with its Pampered Pup Package. Bring Your "Best Furiend" to Boston at Fairmont Copley Plaza

At Fairmont Copley Plaza, all dogs big and small receive the hotel’s treatment the moment their paws step inside with the hotel’s signature Fairmont Furiend Package. Upon arrival, "VIPs" (Very Important Pups) receive a biscuit box filled with hotel-themed treats, a complimentary Brush & Go service at a nearby luxury dog spa located on the famous Newbury Street, a 20 percent in-store discount to local pet boutique Boston Barkery, and a photo feature of the pup on Cori Copley’s Instagram (the hotel’s famous Canine Ambassador). Each reservation will help support the Guide Dog Foundation and its mission of providing guide dogs and training, free of charge, to people who are blind or visually impaired.

Help Pups in Need by Sipping the ‘Lobby Dog Lager’ at Fairmont Hotel Vancouver

The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver and local craft brewery, Yellow Dog Brewery, have partnered to create a tribute beer in honor of the hotel's beloved Canine Ambassadors, Ella and Elly. The beer, aptly named 'The Lobby Dog Lager,' is a light, crisp and refreshing brew on tap at the property’s Notch8 Restaurant & Bar. Partial proceeds from each beer sold will contribute to Ella and Elly’s pledge to sponsor a “pint-size pup'' through BC & Alberta Guide Dog’s Puppy Raising program. In addition, guests with their own four-legged companions can enjoy the hotel’s Lab of Luxury Pet Package complete with luxurious overnight accommodations, a welcome four-pack of The Lobby Dog Lager (for the paw-rents), pet amenities including a dog bed, bowls, and treats, along with complimentary self-parking.

Take a "Petcation" to Mexico’s Fairmont Mayakoba

In Riviera Maya, guests can book Fairmont Mayakoba’s Petcation Package including a "pawfect"-guided boat ride with the pup around the property. Guests can spot different species of birds and reptiles, all while learning about the natural wonders of Mayakoba followed by a meal overlooking the water canals and more. The Petcation offer also includes 20 percent off regular rates, breakfast for two (and the furry friend), several pet amenities including doggy bed, bowls, food and toys.

Support Working Dogs at Fairmont Washington D.C., Georgetown

A stay at Fairmont Washington D.C., Georgetown’s Puppy Love Package supports working dogs. In partnership with Guiding Eyes for the Blind, each time a Puppy Love package is booked, the hotel donates $25 to the organization. The specialty package includes overnight accommodations for the guest and their pup in a luxurious guestroom, dog treats handmade by the hotel's pastry team, a walking map of pet friendly places in the D.C. area, and a special pet-only do not disturb sign for the door. The hotel is also offering Tail Way Tuesdays this summer at the hotel’s Courtyard Bar, where four-legged guests (and their humans) can enjoy Puptails and a V.I.P, Very Important Puppy menu.

Fairmont Chateau Whistler has welcomed a new four-legged Fur-mont colleague to the team. Adopted from the local animal shelter Whistler Animals Galore, Archie, a six-month old Shepherd-Retriever, is the Pet Ambassador for the resort. Archie’s days will be spent in the outdoors exploring the scenic trails with the resort's Whistler Experience Guides.
