Frenchman's Reef Unveils Fleet of Aquatic Vessels and Activities

Frenchman’s Reef has unveiled its fleet of private excursion vessels and non-motorized watersports activities, which will be available to guests of its two resorts—including the newly opened Morningstar Buoy Haus Beach Resort at Frenchman’s Reef, Autograph Collection and The Westin Beach Resort & Spa at Frenchman’s Reef, opening later this summer. Guests will have their selection from eight excursion vessels for various day and night adventures alongside a number of non-motorized equipment.

The fleet of Frenchman’s Reef vessels will be available via the property’s private dock, which will provide access to a multitude of secluded islands and marine environments for ample exploration. The fleet of vessels will be utilized for activities, including off-site snorkeling, fishing, private-charter pleasure cruises, sunset sails, eco-tours, shopping and dining excursions across the surrounding islands, and more. Operated by RED Hospitality and Leisure, the fleet will include:

  • Two 38-foot Axopar 37 luxury private charter boats, which each fit up to 10 guests and offer amenities including an onboard bar and lounge.
  • A 38-foot center console Boston Whaler 370, with capacity for up to 12 passengers, offering an air-conditioned cabin, bar, grill and extended shade structure.
  • Two 40-foot VanDutch 40 luxury private charter boats for up to 12 passengers each, with an air-conditioned cabin, dedicated captain and mate for day excursions.
  • An Ultimate RIB boat, a luxury adventure vessel spanning 41 feet, accommodating up to 12 guests and offering indoor and outdoor seating for all weather.
  • A 57-foot ferry and excursion vessel with a capacity for up to 65 passengers, designed to connect Frenchman’s Reef and St. John and the surrounding islands for day excursions and group transportation.
  • The Flying Frenchman, a custom 65-foot catamaran that will fit up to 125 passengers for an array of charter sails and private group celebrations. The vessel comes equipped with a galley for hot and cold food service and an air-conditioned cabin, among other amenities. It will also represent the first fly-bridge commercial catamaran in the U.S.V.I.

Additionally, Frenchman’s Reef will offer customized “stay and sail” options for guests. Part-mainland, part-sea, the experience will offer a combination package showcasing the best of both worlds. It is ideal for families, honeymooners and small parties of any sort.

Along with this fleet of vessels, Frenchman’s Reef will showcase other non-motorized water sports at its private dock and adventure beach, located alongside The Westin Beach Resort & Spa, including programming for all ages. Such options include Hobie Cats and kayaks, in addition to an Aquabana Lounger, assorted beach toys and 200 sets of snorkel gear to explore the surrounding waters.

While staying at either The Westin Beach Resort & Spa or Buoy Haus, guests also have access to culinary experiences at a combined nine restaurants, WestinWORKOUT Fitness Studio, the Westin FAMILY Kid’s Club, Heavenly Spa by Westin with 13 treatment rooms, a range of pools, and more.
