Le Torri di Bagnara in Umbria Introduces Truffle Hunting on its Estate

Le Torri di Bagnara Castles, a private, 1,500-acre estate in the hills of Umbria, has debuted on-property truffle hunting for guests. Located in the “green heart” of Italy, midway between Rome and Florence, Le Torri di Bagnara is a collection of restored medieval castles, which can accommodate groups of up to 30 people.

Now available exclusively for guests of the castle is a day of truffle hunting across the 1,500-acre Bagnara Estate. Guests will spend the morning with a local hunter and his expert dog. The Bagnara Estate’s forests, made up of beech and oak trees, are rich with Umbrian black truffles of both winter and summer varieties. When enough truffles have been collected for lunch, guests will be taken to a spot on the property with the best views to sample some of their bounty, along with a glass of Prosecco.

Following the hunt, back at the private castle, guests will sample four different kinds of truffle (including the ones they foraged) and enjoy the savory truffle delicacies of a local truffle farm, prepared by a local, private chef and paired with Umbrian wines.

This experience is an additional cost to renting the villa; the main house at Le Torri di Bagnara accommodates 15 people and starts at 9,950 Euros a week. Rentals are available from March 30 through November 2.
