Margaritaville St. Somewhere Punta Coco, Holbox Island Opens

Margaritaville St. Somewhere Punta Coco, Holbox Island is welcoming guests. Located in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula on Holbox Island, the boutique property has 39 suites. It also has two open-air restaurants and a bar, and offers a range of activities for guests. The resort is the inaugural property in the newest collection of casual-luxe boutique resorts by Karisma Hotels & Resorts and Margaritaville.

Situated in the heart of Holbox Island, an island northwest of Cancun and just across the water from the port of Chiquilá in the Yucatan Peninsula, Margaritaville St. Somewhere is a seaside escape in an intimate setting. There are no cars on the island—only golf carts and buggies. Guests can also enjoy complimentary access to the nearby Yum Balam Biosphere Reserve.

Guests can choose from six suite types, with a choice of plunge pools, terrace or swim-up suites offering direct access to the main pool and swim-up bar. Each room is outfitted with whitewashed furniture, parota wood tables, a king-size bed or two queen-size beds with tufted headboards, a smart TV, Klipsch Bluetooth speaker, bathrobes, and a bathroom with hand-carved marble sink and dual shower. In-room refreshment is also available, besides a coffee and tea maker that guests can stock at an additional cost.

The Sandbar & Pan American Grill offers a sharing-style menu withfresh seafood, ceviches, spear-caught fish and other seafood dishes. At The Harbour House Peninsular Cuisine & Wood Stove Bar, diners can relish the flavors of the Yucatán Peninsula besides international fare. The Lone Palm Bar & Swim Up Bar offers in-pool and poolside beverages with a selection of fresh cool concoctions and top-shelf libations.

The resort is designed for both couples and families. For an additional fee, guests can enjoy off-site deep-sea fishing, bird-watching trips, seasonal whale-shark swimming and other excursions.

Deal: Opening rates begin at $421 and can be booked now through May 2 for travel through January 2, 2023. The resort’s comprehensive well-being program, “Karisma Peace of Mind,” includes a free, on-site antigen test for guests traveling to the U.S. per Centers for Disease Control and Prevention requirements.
