Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve has appointed Thomas Jecklin as its general manager. Jecklin, who has more than three decades of hospitality experience, will oversee all operations for the property.
A Switzerland native, Jecklin received a Bachelor’s degree from the Hotel and Restaurant Management School. Starting his career as a waiter apprentice in Switzerland, he worked his way up the ranks and held several positions, including those of head-waiter, fine-dining waiter, and food and beverage director, among others. His work experience has taken him across the world to destinations including Mexico, Brazil, Paraguay, Chile and China, holding leadership roles at the W Mexico City, The St. Regis Mexico City, The Ritz-Carlton, Cancun, among other properties.
Prior to his appointment at Zadún, Jecklin served as the general manager for The St. Regis Mexico City, where the property witnessed significant growth in revenue and occupancy during his tenure. He also has a history of implementing new and successful food and beverage concepts.
In this new role, Jecklin will oversee day-to-day operations for the resort ensuring the property continues to deliver its signature service. He will also be implementing innovative initiatives that will continue to set new standards for luxury travel.
Zadún is set amidst the dunes along the coastline of Puerto Los Cabos, Mexico, with panoramic views of the Sea of Cortez.
