Meliá Hotels Will Open New Hotel in Punta Cana in December

Meliá Hotels International’s new 288-suite hotel, The Grand Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real, will open this December. Situated a half hour from Punta Cana International Airport in the Dominican Republic, The Grand Reserve will offer guests seven restaurants and bars, a full-service spa, a Beach Club on Bavaro Beach, a water park and fitness center.

Guests staying at The Grand Reserve will be able to stay in one or two-bedroom suites with sizes running from 800 to 3,000 square feet. Suites include private balconies with hydro-massage whirlpool tubs. The Grand Reserve also offers guests Swim-Up Suites, which provide visitors direct access to the hotel’s pool.

The Grand Reserve’s new restaurants and bars include a cigar bar, a steak house with an Asian inspired menu featuring fresh sushi and a ceviche bar serving ceviche, pokes and tartars. While at The Grand Reserve guests have access to all the amenities at Paradisus Palma Real, including Passion, a restaurant by Martin Berasategui, a chef who holds eight Michelin stars.

While at the hotel, guests can use The Grand Reserve’s variety of amenities, including: the Beach Club at Bavaro Beach; the resort and wellness center Circle Studio; The Grand Reserve’s youth offerings, including the educational Kids Club as well as the Aqua Park; and The Grand Reserve Spa by Natura Bissé, with its relaxation room and 14 treatment rooms.

The month before The Grand Reserve opens, Meliá Hotels International will also finish dividing its Meliá Caribe Tropical into two properties: the adults-only Meliá Punta Cana Beach Resort and the family-friendly Meliá Caribe Beach Resort.
