Mountain Lodges of Peru Unveils New Property

Mountain Lodges of Peru (MLP), an adventure company with a commitment to the communities and environmental resources of Peru, has a new signature property at the ancient capital of the Inca Empire. X.O Art House, the new bed & breakfast-style hotel located within San Blas, the arts quarter of Cusco, offers views of streets, historic architecture, and surrounding landscapes from guest rooms and public spaces.

Welcoming guests since December 2018, X.O Art House brings travelers to a new concept in lodging offering seven private guest rooms set within a converted casona, a large, traditionally designed home from the Spanish colonial era. All rooms, from single accommodations to deluxe junior suites, offer contemporary furnishings, custom-designed furniture and warm color schemes at once earth-toned and bright. Rooms and public spaces further showcase visual works of art created by contemporary Cusquenan artists from TOTEMIQ, a local art collective, with paintings, photography, handicrafts and more inspired by the culture of Peru.

  • Accommodations at X.O Art House are available in two categories:
  • Superior - Sized for singles or doubles, the latter with an option for one full or two single beds.

Superior Deluxe - Junior suites with king-size bedding; separate seating area; kitchenette with sink, refrigerator, mini-stovetop, microwave, coffeemaker and dishware; and rollaway beds available for families or additional companions (subject to additional cost).

Standard in-room amenities selected for the comfort and convenience of guests include an Amazon Alexa for digital assistance, heater, smart TV, in-room safe, complimentary Wi-Fi, daily breakfast, and more. Transfers to and from Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport, located 15 minutes by car from the property, are also available upon request.
