New Rooms Added to akyra Manor Chiang Mai, Thailand

Singapore-based real estate investment and development company, Manor Group, and luxury boutique hotel and beach resort specialist Akaryn Hotel Group have announced the expansion of akyra Manor Chiang Mai in Thailand.

The expansion has been timed to coincide with the reopening of Thailand, which started welcoming international visitors for quarantine-free vacations this month. The new Manor North and South wing will more than double the room count at akyra Manor Chiang Mai, as 32 new Deluxe Rooms complement the existing 23 Premier Suites and seven Manor Suites. Created by Hyphen Architects, the new wing captures the contemporary vibe of Chiang Mai’s trendiest district, with its cafés and boutiques, while also reflecting the charm of northern Thailand’s ancient Lanna Kingdom.

The wing comprises two low-rise, four-story buildings, which are defined by a spacious open-plan layout and plenty of natural light. The central courtyard has shady trees and relaxed seating. The new Deluxe Rooms (all of which offer 330 square feet of living space) are designed with a lighter color palette, reflective materials and bold prints. Each white bathroom is bright and adorned with hand-picked fixtures and fittings.

With this expansion, Akaryn Hotel Group now operates a total of 302 rooms, suites and villas in Thailand, spanning two luxurious Aleenta-branded beachfront resorts and two akyra lifestyle hotels. Guests can combine an upcountry retreat at the new-look akyra Manor Chiang Mai with an urban escape at akyra Thonglor Bangkok. Alternatively, Aleenta Hua Hin-Pranburi and Aleenta Phuket-Phang Nga provide pool villas and residences for families and friends seeking a five-star vacation.

Whichever option they choose, every stay is in harmony with the environment. Akaryn Hotel Group has removed single-use plastics from its entire portfolio. The group also works hand-in-hand with the Pure Blue Foundation, which was founded by Anchalika Kijkanakorn and focuses on protecting native ecosystems and empowering local communities.
