Nobu Hotel Los Cabos Celebrates Grand Opening

Chef Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Meir Teper, co-founders of Nobu Hospitality, celebrated the official launch of Nobu Hotel Los Cabos with a grand opening event and signature sake ceremony on Wednesday, November 13.

Following the ribbon-cutting, guests gathered for the traditional sake ceremony, which was held along with Japanese Taiko drummers. After breaking the lid to the sake barrel with wooden mallets, sake was served to guests in traditional masu cups for a grand toast. After the toast, the celebrations continued with a fireworks display and entertainment by fire dancers and American DJ and producer DJ Cassidy.

The Nobu Hotel Los Cabos, which first began hosting guests this past April, is a 200-room beachfront property with a signature Nobu Restaurant and an outpost of Malibu Farm, a famous farm-to-table eatery from Malibu

Accommodations comprise 103 suites and 97 standard rooms drawing design inspiration from the Nobu brand’s Japanese aesthetic. Also on property are a selection of high-end retail outlets and four pools; plus, for golf buffs, the nearby Diamante Cabo San Lucas Resort complex includes courses designed by David Love III and Tiger Woods

For meetings and events, the property has 14,389 square feet of flexible space spanning 11 venues, including two ballrooms, one boardroom, one pre-function space, one outdoor terrace and two outdoor lawns, with banquet menus drawing inspiration from both the Nobu Restaurant and Malibu Farm. Event planning professionals are able to provide personal assistance for all gatherings, including destination weddings.

Finally, there is a 13,691-square-foot spa with 13 treatment rooms, both indoor hydrotherapy areas and an outdoor hydrotherapy garden and a cabana Jacuzzi. There is also a fitness center with a full range of gym equipment, an indoor/outdoor yoga area and a spinning area.
