The Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal has made its official debut. Formerly The Resort at Pedregal, the property celebrated its transformation into the first Waldorf Astoria property in Mexico with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Set on a 24-acre site at the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula, the resort has 119 guestrooms and residential-style suites, including the one-bedroom Dos Mares suites, two-bedroom beachfront suites, and the presidential beachfront suite, all with their own private plunge pools. The property also has a team of Personal Concierges who are available around the clock to assist guests with their requests.

Culinary offerings include El Farallon, an al fresco “ocean to table” restaurant suspended over the sea, as well as the resort’s signature restaurant, Don Manuel’s, serving cuisine made from local, organic ingredients and prepared using modern interpretations of old world techniques. In the center of the main pool is the Crudo Bar, serving a selection of freshly prepared tiraditos, ceviche and Mexican inspired rolls, and poolside is the Beach Club, a casual venue offering coastal dishes such as hummus, Baja wraps, fresh-grilled seafood, paninis and Caesar salads.

New to the resort this year is the Va y Viene Beach Bar, a mobile beach bar that serves a variety of champagnes.

Other amenities include a private chef upon request, transportation via the resort valet and customized daytime itineraries, as well as complimentary, locally inspired drinks, daily afternoon surprises spotlighting regional cuisine and a welcome bottle of Clase Azul Tequila in guests’ rooms.

Also on property is a new, 12,000-square-foot Waldorf Astoria Spa, offering new, standalone 50- or 80-minute moon phase treatments – The Awakening Moon, The Nourishing Moon, The Calming Moon and The Restoring Moon – using natural ingredients. Another treatment, The Intention, draws on Mexican folk healing traditions developed with local “sanadores” and shamans. It is composed of an energy cleansing ritual, craniosacral therapy and a Mexican folk massage. There are also new mindfulness and skin care treatments.

Guests can explore the surrounding area with a series of curated Beyond the Beach adventures, such as a culinary and art excursion with Savoring Todos Santos and a volunteer excursion to La Candelaria, aiding in the upkeep of the Agustin Melgar Primary School, followed by lunch with the school children. Also available are Panga reef cruises, yacht breakfasts and farm-to-table lunches.
