Paradisus Palma Real Golf & Spa Resort Unveils $40 Million Reno

Paradisus Palma Real Golf & Spa Resort has reopened following a $40 million property-wide renovation. The project encompasses 596 redesigned suites, refreshed adults-only areas, new F&B concepts and upgrades to the convention center. The property has also launched enhanced luxury services that will debut at each Paradisus location.

Paradisus Palma Real is located on the Dominican Republic’s Bávaro Beach. Of the 596 renovated suites, the resort will now offer 58 new swim-up suites. Suites range from 516 to 1,614 square feet and offer living areas, furnished balconies or terraces with garden or ocean views, rainfall showers and luxury bath amenities.

As well, the resort has unveiled nine restaurant concepts, of which two are new adults-only restaurants. Flora offers artisan flavors, vegan delights and local sustainable dishes, while Malva, a casual bazaar-style buffet, is where guests can sample local cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Paradisus Palma Real will reopen with elevated guest experiences that will also debut in Paradisus’ four other resort destinations. Among these is Nikté, an elevated suite experience that includes a series of exclusive services and perks such as premium room categories, turndown service, a minibar, a personal concierge, priority dinner reservations and a water ritual at the resort’s YHI Spa.

Guests staying at any Paradisus by Meliá resort can enjoy a stay at the adults-only The Reserve. Guests can enjoy access to the resort’s adults-only secluded areas, including private beaches, pools, lounges and a range of elevated restaurant offerings. The Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real has been completely renovated and offers guests 152 suites, a private restaurant serving Mediterranean cuisine, concierge and turndown services, plus private check-in/check-out facilities.

Guests of both Nikté and The Reserve can experience Paradisus’ new immersive program, “Destination Inclusive,” designed to connect guests to local communities and surroundings. The experience, included in the daily rate of these categories, will immerse guests into the most remote areas and explore local connections. Each Paradisus location will offer a unique destination experience.

Guests can enjoy access to 11 swimming pools, spa and fitness center, besides the nearby Cocotal Golf & Country Club. The resort has also revamped its 42,000-square-foot convention center. It houses 12 meeting rooms with a range of facilities. Now offering indoor and outdoor function venues, meetings and events at the resort, include catering, bilingual staff, hostess service, modern AV equipment, filming/recording by request, and new edge blending technology. Paradisus Palma Real can accommodate a maximum capacity of 1,500 guests.
