Philadelphia’s AKA Rittenhouse Square has announced the launch of “Suite Sommelier,” a new program that brings guests personalized wine recommendations from in-house sommelier Frank Kinyon of a.kitchen+bar directly to their suite. Guests can choose from more than 300 labels on-demand.
Kinyon joined the team at a.kitchen+bar in 2018. During his time as beverage director, a.kitchen+bar has been named a 2022 James Beard Semifinalist for the Best Wine Program. As part of the “Suite Sommelier” program, guests can complete a survey prior to their arrival, which will allow the bottle recommendation to be waiting for them in their suite. Alternatively, during their stay, they can arrange to meet with Kinyon for a private wine recommendation.
AKA Rittenhouse Square offers a range of accommodations, including studios, one- and two-bedroom suites and specialty suites. In-suite amenities include kitchens with stainless steel appliances and espresso cabinetry, custom-designed furnishings, bathrooms with marble and granite finishes, flat-screen TVs, complimentary high-speed internet and more.
As for a.kitchen+bar, guests can expect a variety of small plates and traditional dishes in addition to craft cocktails, local beers and (of course) selections from the critically acclaimed wine list. Guests can also make use of a fitness center complete with Technogym equipment, a private cinema space and more.
