Radisson Hotel Group Opens First Zambian Resort

Radisson Hotel Group has announced the opening of Radisson Blu Mosi-oa-Tunya Livingstone Resort, Zambia. Located on the banks of the Zambezi River, the resort is the group’s first safari resort in Africa and first resort in Zambia. The opening marks a key step towards the company’s goal of reaching 150 hotels in operation and under development in Africa by 2025.

Radisson Blu Mosi-oa-Tunya Livingstone Resort is located near the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, just over one mile south of the historic city of Livingstone, and less than two and a half miles northwest of the Victoria Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The resort has earned the EDGE green building certification because of its 20 percent increase in energy efficiency, water reduction and use of sustainable building materials, compared to other similar properties in the region. It has also signed the UNESCO Sustainable Tourism Pledge, in line with the group’s globally recognized “Responsible Business” program.

Radisson Blu Mosi-oa-Tunya, Livingstone Resort offers 200 rooms, suites and villas, many of which frame views of the Zambezi River. The resort’s food and beverage venues include the all-day dining restaurant, Shungu Bar and Lounge, the Viewing Deck and the Pool Bar overlooking the river.
