Sandals Hosts First Independent Travel Consultant's Learning Forum

Beaches Turks and Caicos Key West Village

Sandals Resorts held its first-ever Independent Travel Consultant’s Learning Forum at Beaches Turks & Caicos from April 28 - May 1, bringing together 150 home-based travel agents for three days of learning, networking and giving back for a new Certified Sandals Specialist (CSS) workshop.

The forum involved several interactive activities, including many networking opportunities for the 150 travel agents in attendance. Travel agents enjoyed presentations from Cynthia Bresseau, the national training manager on the Sandals travel agent portal, Mark Shea, the regional business development manager for the west coast on groups and niche marketing, Jaynell Newton, social media trade community manager on social media tips and trends, and Wendy White, weddings training manager on selling up and how to build your business.

The workshop also included a special visit by Gary Sadler, senior vice president of sales at Unique Vacations Inc., where he demonstrated his support of the independent travel agent community. In addition, the senior national director of sales for Unique Vacations Inc., Garth Laird, was able to speak to the group about Sandals Resorts’ increased partnership with the travel agent community, noting the company's large increase in business development managers.
