Ser Casasandra Unveils Ecological Conservation Experiences

Ser Casasandra, a boutique hotel set in Holbox Island, is offering a 360-degree wildlife experience that celebrates the ecosystem where the island is located. The destination is famed for the whale shark experience that takes place between May and September.

Eco-tourism plays a vital role in the community. Located within the Yum Balam reserve, in the Yucatán Peninsula, locals have established vast ecological conservation which protects wildlife and marine life on Holbox Island. Travelers will enjoy a visit to Bird Island, Passion Island and Yalahau Cenote, where over 150 species of birds live in the natural habitat. Hundreds of flamingos can be spotted on the beach. Visitors can also go snorkeling with turtles and dolphins.

Ser Casasandra is offering a wildlife connection experience where guests can enjoy a five-night stay with three activities included from June to September. The package based on double occupancy per room includes: five nights in B&B; one whale shark experience where guests are offered the chance to swim and interact with the 20-meter-long creatures, and meet the local fishermen who will explain the importance of the gentle giants beforehand; a tour of the three islands for birdwatching; a private snorkeling experience; and a dining experience at Ser Esencia Restaurant.
