Audrey Hendley has been named the new president of American Express Travel and Lifestyle Services, effective immediately.
Claire Bennett was the last person to lead the team at American Express Travel, under the title of executive vice president. Bennett left American Express to become chief marketing officer at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) back in October.
In her new role, Hendley is responsible for delivering premium travel and lifestyle (dining, entertainment) services to American Express card members through a network of over 5,000 travel consultants, overseeing the digital travel booking experience, travel benefits and programs, supplier partnerships, and marketing and engagement strategies for the premium card member base, American Express Travel said.
American Express Travel said that the appointment marks a return to American Express Travel for Hendley, who earlier in her career served as vice president of marketing and strategic partnerships. She has been with American Express for over 20 years, and, most recently, has led the global commercial payments and consulting services organization, bringing products, features and services to businesses of all sizes around the world.
