FIT tour operator Avanti Destinations has announced the appointment of Dawn De Arrastia as Southeast Regional Sales Director.
De Arrastia will work with travel agents in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, and Tennessee. She succeeds Paula Ruidiaz and reports to Chief Marketing Officer John Hanratty.
“Dawn's broad experience in the industry and particularly her long-standing relationships with agents in the southeast will be a real asset for Avanti going forward,” said Hanratty in a written statement. “Sales in the southeast region have been robust and with Dawn's appointment our expectation is that they will continue to grow even stronger.”
De Arrastia comes to the position with more than 30 years of travel industry experience. She was mostly recently South and Central District Director for Allianz Global Assistance. Previously she handled territories in the southeast for African Travel, Rocky Mountaineer, and Crystal Cruises, among others.

Avanti also recently appointed Mark Grundy to the position of chief operating officer.
