Direct Travel Acquires S.R. Travel Service of San Francisco

Last week, Direct Travel Inc., one of the top travel management companies in North America announced its most recent acquisition: S.R. Travel Service of San Francisco, California. S.R Travel has served the Bay Area for 50 years in travel management and worked with Fortune 500 corporations, mid-sized companies and independent entrepreneurs to provide high quality travel programming.

Direct Travel said the acquisition aligns with the company's business strategy and operational plan to expand key business markets as they add a new agency to their Western Region portfolio.

"I've come to learn that there isn't another organization as unique as Direct. Everything is accomplished smoothly and without fanfare. Their depth of experience is reflected in everything from the smallest detail to the most difficult and complicated negotiation. They recognize the uniqueness of every company and design a deal that will be a 'win' for everyone; owner, employees, clients and vendors," said Jessica Lewin, CEO of S.R. Travel.

Ed Adams, CEO of Direct Travel states, "Direct Travel's acquisition of leading travel management companies – like S.R. Travel – is indicative of our uncompromising commitment to serving our clients in a local/regional environment while allowing us to provide premiere services and stay close to our customers."

"I'm looking forward to expanding our current VIP and Elite service offering by leveraging the expertise and knowledge of the highly talented S.R. staff and adopting best practices to enhance our customers' experience," said Helen Leon, President West Region, Direct Travel.

"This acquisition is an impressive addition to our organization, supports our growth strategy, and provides further opportunity for the investment in strategic business practices across our enterprise," said Adams.

With over 2,000 employees across North America and over $4 billion in sales, Direct Travel has offices in over 60 locations.
