Agents Can Win a Safari From African Travel Inc.

African Travel, Inc. is offering travel advisors a chance to win a six-night safari in South Africa in 2019.

The travel advisors of the President’s Top Producers Award will comprise African Travel’s top five producers with the highest revenue, plus the advisor with the most improved year-over-year growth. Calculations will be based on client bookings between December 2018 and May 2019, for guests traveling between January 2019 and March 2020. Winners will be announced in June 2019.

This trip will allow winners to experience South African food, hotels and wildlife. They will fly to South Africa in business class, courtesy of South African Airways (SAA), then spend three nights at the Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa in Cape Town, one night at Tinga Lodge in the private Lion Sands Game Reserve, and two nights at Kapama Karula in the Kapama Private Game Reserve. Along the way they will have the chance to experience game drives, meals in top restaurants, sightseeing and cultural activities, all the while accompanied by Sherwin Banda, president of African Travel, Inc., and Marlene Sanau, vice president of sales for North America for South African Airways.

Here are some highlights of the trip:

Cape Town’s Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa, poised above the Atlantic Ocean against the Twelve Apostles mountain range, has both sea-facing and mountain-facing guest rooms. Guests can enjoy sundowners while watching the sunset over the Atlantic, go hiking amid the fynbos of Table Mountain National Park, enjoy the flavorful international cuisine at Azure Restaurant, or enjoy a body treatment at the relaxing spa.

At Lion Sands, a private game reserve within the Sabi Sand Reserve, guests are able to spend extended periods of time watching wildlife in its natural habitat. Only a limited number of vehicles are allowed on the property, which means there are no crowds to compete with. Vehicles are also taken off-road in certain instances, depending on bush conditions and specific sightings. Tinga Lodge, located on the banks of the Sabie River, offers a private plunge pool and deck, 24-hour air conditioning, and a range of luxury amenities.

Over 40 different species of mammals — including the Big Five — as well as 350 bird species roam Kapama Private Game Reserve, which spans 40,000 acres of pristine African bush. Visitors have the opportunity to observe these creatures in the wild with twice-daily guided game drives, nature walks, and elephant encounters. The Karula luxury lodge offers views of the Klaserie River through floor-to-ceiling windows, private pools, outdoor showers and a common lounge, bar and library.
