Avoya Travel marked its best year in 2018 with the network experiences major increases in members, leads and sales. Among the causes for this growth, the travel company highlighted its new-to-travel program and its Live Lead system, a program matches new and existing customers with the most-suited agent.
In 2018, the network saw a 25 percent rise in new members compared to 2017, with many of these newcomers joining after taking Avoya’s education and affiliation program. According to Avoya, on average, its new-to-travel agencies top their competitors at other host agencies in both growth rate and sales.
Avoya also touted a more than 25 percent increase in ‘Live Leads’ over any previous year. According to the company, this system matches “the right customer with the right independent agency on the right product,” thereby growing bookings and income for its member agencies. Avoya attributed this growth in potential clients to improved marketing strategies in 2018.
The company’s growth in membership and potential clients resulted in a double-digit sales increase at Avoya, with more of its agencies than ever reaching or surpassing $1 million in sales. The network’s top agency grew its sales by more than 30 percent for a total of $6.5 million.
Last year also brought the beginning a new seven-year growth plan. The Avoya 2025 plan includes an assortment of new and innovative programs designed to grow the company. As part of this initiative, last year Avoya introduced the Avoya Agency Dashboard, began an educational partnership with Cruise Lines International Association and increased its resort vacation portfolio.
