MAST Hosts First Consumer Virtual Cruise Night

MAST hosted their first Consumer Virtual Cruise Night with sponsors—Hawaii Tourism United States and Norwegian Cruise Line. The free event was held for agents and their clients, which allowed viewers to login from their home computers. After the presentation, clients received an exclusive offer of $100 in on board credit.

Robyn Basso, Senior Director Travel Industry Partnerships, from the Hawaii Tourism United States and Lisa Ertmann, Business Development Director of Norwegian Cruise Line, gave a consumer-based presentation on Hawaii and NCL’s Free at Sea Get 6 Offer. Robin spoke on the reasons to travel to Hawaii, island overviews, as well as how traveling with NCL allows for a sampling of all the islands. Lisa then went on to discuss NCL’s Pride of America cruise ship and why clients should choose Norwegian for their Hawaiian cruise.

This educational event allowed for travel advisors to provide a short informative experience to enhance bookings to Hawaii and with NCL. The Consumer Virtual Cruise Night was a new component of MAST’s Consumer Awareness campaign, which focuses on providing resources to both travel advisors and consumers on the benefits of booking with a travel advisor. The campaign also highlights MAST’s Agency Locator, which can be found on their website www.mvptravel.com, and provides consumers with a directory of travel advisors near them. The Agency Locator works through location, consumer interests, and travel styles.
