Travel Leaders Network – a retail travel agency organization – has been recognized by Facebook as a social media success story. This is the second recognition from Facebook for a Travel Leaders digital campaign. The first time the company was recognized as a "Facebook Success Story" was in 2018.
Travel Leaders’ most recent campaign, which was executed from November 2018 to January 2019, in partnership with Funjet Vacations, illustrated several travel destinations, such as all-inclusive resort accommodations in Mexico and the Caribbean, to attract social media users. By utilizing Facebook’s campaign budget optimization tool, Travel Leaders Network gathered more leads at a lower cost per lead compared to earlier campaigns, according to a Facebook statement.
In implementing the marketing plan, Travel Leaders Network installed the Facebook pixel on its website and chose to have leads directed back to the company. This combination allowed Travel Leaders Network to keep track of events that occur on the site, such as someone clicking from the ad to the site to “call an agent” or fill out an email form.
Using information provided by the pixel, Travel Leaders Network also built an audience of Funjet Vacations leads and followed up with them by showing them additional ads.
Facebook periodically highlights business success stories in various industry categories. Currently, only 65 recognitions have been given in the travel and tourism industry category.
