Independent travel company Avanti Destinations laid out some suggestions for FIT travelers looking for a last-minute summer vacation. The company detailed destinations where it still had availabilities, including locations in Europe, Central America and Asia.
In Europe, Avanti encouraged travel to London, Barcelona, Madrid and Prague. In London, it highlighted its street art and graffiti tour, half-day Harry Potter tour and its 10-hour Bath, Stonehenge and Cotswolds tour. In Spain the company’s suggestions included a “Barcelona as a Local” walking food tour and a shared evening tapas tour in Barcelona and an all-day trip to Avila and Segovia and a private taverns and markets tour in Madrid. In Prague, it offered its beer walking tour, an afternoon concert at Lobkowicz Palace and a historic coffeehouse tour.
Avanti also suggested a visit to Costa Rica, highlighting its coastal beaches, rainforests, mountain cloud forests and volcanoes. Food enthusiasts can take a $255 private cooking class at Arenal and conservation-minded travelers can go on a four-day volunteer trip in Sarapiqui.
The independent travel company encouraged agents to suggest to its FIT customers a trip to Thailand. The travel company offers a nine-day “Best of Thailand” tour stopping in Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket.
