Europe Travel Provider Authentic Vacations Joins USTOA

Authentic Vacations, a travel package provider focused on European destinations, has joined the United States Tour Operators Association. Specializing in personalization and client support, Authentic Vacations designs travel packages for clients visiting Ireland, Scotland, England, Wales and Scandinavia.

Travel package provider Authentic Vacations has been in business since 2001. The company specializes in creating customizable trips that provide an assortment of vetted activities and accommodations, each personalized to the individual traveler. A division of Tour Partner Group, the company serves its clients from its offices in Dublin, London, Copenhagen and San Francisco.

USTOA companies together create almost $15 billion in revenue and serve nearly 8.6 million customers per year. The organization, running for over 40 years, provides consumers and travel agents with access to education and assistance.

Since its founding in 1972 USTOA has sought to protect consumers from losing their money. At the beginning, every member put $100,000 forward to a consumer protection fund.

Today, now a group of 55 companies that together represent a total of 162 brands, USTOA has strengthened this protection exponentially. Now every member must set aside $1 million for the USTOA’s Travelers Assistance Program. This protects consumers in case a company goes out of business, with coverage extending to payments of up to $1 million.

In addition to providing consumer protection, the association educates the public on vacation package and works to increase tourism through workshops, product development trips and meetings. The USTOA also works to encourage the tourism business by supporting open border policies and working with relevant government departments.
