Intrepid Travel has announced that 100 percent of all 2025 FAM fees have been donated directly to local communities through the Intrepid Foundation, raising $12,000 for nonprofit projects in Vietnam, Colombia and Portugal.
The FAM trip lineup for 2025 includes three itineraries. Ten advisors will embark on the Café Colombia adventure in April, with another group of 10 advisors will embark on the Vietnam Express Southbound in May. They will be accompanied by a Key Partnership Manager (KPM) host, a DMC representative, and a local leader to facilitate on-the-ground experiences. Furthermore, 11 advisors will journey through Portugal in November, accompanied by a KPM host and a local leader for an immersive exploration of the region’s culture and sustainability efforts.
Travel advisors will gain hands-on experience with Intrepid’s sustainable travel model while making meaningful contributions to the communities they help their clients explore. Every fee directly funds grassroots organizations, ensuring 100 percent impact—no middlemen, no deductions. Nonprofit projects in Vietnam, Colombia and Portugal include:
- Save Vietnam’s Wildlife – Defending biodiversity by rescuing endangered species, rehabilitating wildlife, and restoring critical habitats in Vietnam’s most threatened ecosystems.
- Patrulla Aérea Civil Colombiana (PAC) – Providing life-saving healthcare to Colombia’s most isolated rural communities, where access to hospitals and medical specialists remains a daily challenge.
- Refood 4 Good – Tackling food insecurity by rescuing high-quality surplus food and redistributing it to people in need while reducing environmental waste.
The overwhelming response from travel advisors signals a clear shift: the industry is ready for deeper impact and meaningful connections. “At Intrepid, we’re doubling down on impact,” says Laura Hernandez, head of partnerships North America. “For agents, it’s about more than just exploring new destinations—it’s about leading with purpose, deepening their connection to the world, and offering clients travel experiences that truly matter.”
