John Hall’s Alaska has announced a significant leadership transition in the new year. Founded in 1983 in Wabasha, MN, the multi-generational, family-owned company has announced that Elizabeth Hall will be promoted from chief operating officer (COO) to president, while Joe Hall will take on the role of COO. Founder John Hall Sr. will remain active in the company as CEO and chairman of the board.
Having been a key member of the John Hall’s Alaska team from a young age, Elizabeth was promoted to COO in 2011. Growing up immersed in the motorcoach industry alongside her father and gaining experience in various aspects of the business, Elizabeth has played an integral role in expanding John Hall’s Alaska into new sectors, such as expanding to global tour offerings with “World Adventures.” Elizabeth is having a positive impact across the motorcoach industry as she comes to the helm of John Hall’s Alaska, now a female-operated and led business. She is on the national board of the American Bus Association (ABA) and chair of the ABA’s Next Era Leadership Council, besides being a past chair of ABA’s Women in Buses Council. She also represents John Hall’s Alaska and the motorcoach industry in Alaska, serving on the Alaska Travel Industry Association and the Alaska State Chamber boards.
Alongside Elizabeth, Joe Hall’s promotion to COO represents a key step in John Hall’s Alaska’s growth. Having also been involved with the business since childhood, Joe has expertise across all areas of the company, from operations to customer service, and has led the charge of establishing and growing the company’s maintenance operations and motorcoach charter service offerings in Alaska and Minnesota.
