Odysseys Unlimited Adds Four New Itineraries to 2020 Collection

Odysseys Unlimited, a small group tour operator, has announced its 2020 collection, including four new itineraries in Ecuador, Ethiopia, Jordan and Provence.

Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands

The new 11-day journey combines Ecuador’s colonial heritage and artisan culture with the wildlife of the Galapagos while cruising on a privately chartered catamaran. After arriving in Ecuador’s capital city of Quito, guests will visit the Plaza la Independencia, the city’s central square; La Compania, one of Ecuador’s ornate churches; the 16th-century el San Francisco church complex; and the Middle of the World Monument, where guests can stand with one foot in each hemisphere. On day eight, guests will leave Ecuador for the Galapagos Islands, making stops in Espanola Island, Santa Cruz Island, San Cristobal, Champion Islet and more. Guests will have the opportunity to see the white sand beaches at Gardner Bay; snorkel in the waters of Champion Islet; and walk through an extinct lava tube in Post Office Bay. A three-day extension to Ecuador’s Amazon rainforest is also available. Fares begin at $5,972 per person.

Ethiopia: Cradle of Civilization

This 15-day discovery takes guests to ancient lands such as Addis Ababa, Bahir Dar, Gondar, Simien Mountain National Park, Axum and Lalibela. Guests will visit the local Weyto people of Addis Ababa; the 14th-century Ura Kidane Mehret, a monastery deep in the forest; the St. Mary of Zion Church, the purported site of the Ark of the Covenant; and explore the castles of Fasil Ghebbi. Additionally, guests can embark on a full-day safari in Simien Mountain National Park where they can view wildlife and the country’s highest waterfall. A six-day Southern Ethiopia extension is also available. Fares begin at $5,497 per person.

Treasures of Jordan

On this 11-day tour to Jordan, guests will embark on a journey introducing them to both nature and man. Once arriving in Jordan’s capital city Amman, guests will set out on a walking tour to visit the King Abdullah I Mosque; the Nymphaeum fountain; the 6,000-seat Roman Theatre; and the Citadel. From Amman to Petra, guests will have the opportunity to view Madaba, the “City of Mosaics,” and the “Lost City” of Petra. Additionally, guests can spend time floating in the Dead Sea, one of the world’s saltiest bodies of water. A three-day extension to the French Riviera is also available. Fares begin at $3,997 per person.

Discovering Provence

This 12-day exploration takes guests through the hill towns and medieval villages of Arles, Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, Lourmarin and Roussillon, as well as the French Riviera. Guests will visit the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve to see white horses, bulls, pink flamingos and migratory birds; view the rose-hued salt marshes in Aigues-Mortes; tour the Papal Palace, home to seven popes in the 14th-century; and visit the Gallo-Romanesque jewel of St. Paul de Mausole, where Van Gogh was confined after severing his ear. A three-day French Riviera expansion is also available. Fares begin at $3,997.
