Report: Tour Bus Crashes in Mexico

A tour bus crashed in Mexico on Sunday, injuring approximately a dozen people.

Riviera Maya News reports that the accident occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. local time near the town of Puerto Morelos, when the bus overturned on the Cancun – Puerto Morelos highway while en route toward the Riviera Maya. The bus was carrying 18 French tourists, a dozen of whom were injured and had to be taken to local hospitals. The bus was on a day tour.

Local police were able to right the bus and tow it, according to the Riviera Maya News report. The cause of the accident remains unknown at this time.
