Two New Hotels in Guadalajara

Guadalajara is opening more hotels to meet the rising tourism demand in the area. The city, which is considered the cultural capital of Mexico and was the birthplace of Tequila and Mariachi, already has an approximate total of 23,500 hotel rooms, about 4,500 of which are within walking distance of the convention center, Expo Guadalajara, the second largest convention center in Latin America.

The Hyatt Regency Guadalajara, opened in February 2017, is the fourth Hyatt hotel in Mexico. Located in the Andares shopping area, the Hyatt provides direct access to local attractions in Guadalajara. The hotel offers 257 rooms with high tech amenities, modern décor, and floor-to-ceiling windows. Facilities at the hotel include over 1,800 square feet of indoor and outdoor venues, including an elegant ballroom and breakout rooms with an outdoor terrace, indoor pool, a StayFit Gym, and multiple dining options serving Mexican cuisine.

The Hard Rock Hotel Guadalajara is opening in spring 2018 with 350 guestrooms, located along the Avenida Vallarta, one of the city’s main streets. At the Hard Rock, travelers can enjoy an array of amenities including the Skybar, signature health and wellness programs like the Rock Spa; a Body Rock fitness center, and a rooftop, outdoor swimming pool.

Plus, the Hard Rock Hotel Guadalajara will be integrated within a mixed-use development complex, the Iconia, offering visitors direct access to expanded dining, entertainment and shopping options. Within the complex, guests have access to 5 meeting rooms, 3 board rooms and event space that can fit their business needs.

The hotel is less than an hour away from Guadalajara International Airport and approximately 20 minutes from the city’s historic downtown area.
