ALG Vacations Doubles Down on Europe

ALG Vacations (ALGV) has announced a major expansion to its Europe program. In a recent survey conducted by the brand, 84 percent of advisors have seen rising demand for the region in the past year, and 62 percent said their clients expect to spend $2,500 or more per person on their air and hotel.

To that end, ALGV has increased its focus on the lucrative European vacation market by adding:

  • More destinations for more multi-stop itinerary options, whether within one country or spanning several
  • More ways to get there including United Airlines, Delta Air Lines and American Airlines (and their codeshare partners), plus newly added carriers including Condor, Eurowings and more
  • More transportation options within Europe, including private and deluxe ground transfers, and rental cars (Hertz, Enterprise and Alamo)
  • More than 500 tours for top attractions throughout France, the U.K., Ireland, Amsterdam, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Greece now on sale in cooperation with Viator
  • More destination management services covering Switzerland, Bulgaria, Croatia, United Arab Emirates, the Maldives and Corfu
  • More Hyatt Inclusive Collection Resorts, with 34 on sale and a total of 42 before year-end

The Inclusive Collection, part of Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, offers popular brands throughout Europe including Zoëtry Wellness & Spa Resorts, Secrets Resorts & Spas, Dreams Resorts & Spas and more. 

In addition, ALGV’s Europe policy enhancements over the past year include:

  • Full earned hotel commission – In addition to Travel Impressions, Apple Vacations, Funjet Vacations and United Vacations now pay full earned commission on all hotels in Europe.
  • Low deposits – Only $250 down (reduced from $350) is required for United Vacations Europe bookings and $350 (instead of the full air cost) for Europe travel with Apple Vacations, Funjet Vacations, and Travel Impression.
  • Travel Protection Plus – ALGV’s Travel Protection Plus policy for Europe now includes a price guarantee. If the price of the hotel drops after the booking is confirmed, the reservation will be adjusted to the lower price upon request.

Advisors can visit ALGV360⁰ to access complimentary marketing materials, and ALGVTravelogue.com for digital Europe catalogs from Apple Vacations, Funjet Vacations and Travel Impressions (with additional destinations and more to be added later this year). Providing even greater detail about ALGV’s Europe expansion, advisors can reference new ALGVPro curriculum as well as “Know. Grow. GO” webinars that will be released throughout the year. Additionally, a consumer-friendly Europe video series will be released later this summer.

Advisors can increase their earnings by receiving “Waves” points on every Europe booking, which can be redeemed toward their own personal travel or cash. Europe bookings significantly propel revenue growth, allowing advisors to reach “Wavemaker” status faster, and more agencies to qualify as ALGV Elite or advance to the next level.
